Podcast

This week in class, we were given the opportunity to explore podcasts. Overall, I found this tool great as you can speak your mind out similar to the radio, however with the freedom of hearing it anytime you want.  The tool that I used was Soundcloud. This tool allowed me to record my voice and is available for anyone to hear in the worldwide web. In the past, I have used podcasts as some of my more favourite sports shows are available via podcasts. I found podcast a great tool as I often find myself either busy or away from the TV and radio and having access to a podcast of my favourite shows at any time is great. In terms of contributing to my digital literacy, podcast is a great tool to add to my arsenal. Knowing how to use this tool allows you to be able to communicate to audience in a manner that others can access to and hear. In terms of digital responsibility, proper usage of podcast is key. Users should be truthful and honest when creating a podcast. In addition, users creating this podcast should understand that their podcast is available for anyone to hear in the worldwide web if they choose to make it so. Understanding their right to privacy is key for any users using podcasts. Overall, podcasts is a great tool for anyone to learn. You are able to communicate your voice to the worldwide web. In addition, podcasts help you grow both your understanding of digital literacy and proper implementation of your rights and responsibilities. See below for my podcast created from Soundcloud.
